I'm in the New England area and just got quoted the following for a new BX2230
BX2230 with FEL - $12150
54" MM Mower - $1650
Catcher - $1995
Is this a good price? I also looked at the Boomer TZ25DA, which was a bit more, but was just not as refined or smooth as the Kubota.
The catchers are awfully expensive. Does anyone make aftermarket catchers without the vacuum? I only have 3/4 of a acre and have managed with non-vacuum catchers so far.
Thanks!

I often recommend a tow behind that is self contained. They don't cost much more and might last thru a couple of tractors at only the cost of a new boot for a different make. ....

Where abouts in New England are you looking? I live in MA. and I'm also looking for a new machine. From what I've found the price you were given is a bit high for that setup. You can do better. ....

I'm in Eastern MA, and the price was from a dealer in southern NH (starts with C). It appears to be about 10% off MSRP based on Aldermans's pricing (after dealer prep, etc), and of course, there is no sales tax in NH. The catcher seems out of whack with the MSRP.
That price was just an initial quote, but I don't expect that they will come down much. I'll be calling around the other dealers this week and would be open to hints about local dealers that competitive. ....
